The Palms Roaming Review
Today the Roaming Review takes me to the Palms Casino and Hotel on the famous Las Vegas Strip. The Palms is one of few of the older Casinos left on the Strip.
Upon entering the hotel lobby I noticed the hotel is not as fancy as some of the newer hotel and casinos I have been to for the Roaming Review in Vegas but the service was old school. Someone was there to take my bags as soon as I entered the Hotel doors and these people are going to get high marks in the Roaming review.
At the check in desk things went as smooth as can be. My reservations were ok and after giving them a credit card and signing some stuff I was in my room in about 7 minutes. I would like to give the Hotel staff a 10 in this Roaming Review they were fast, courteous, and friendly.
The room was not very large but it was comfortable. They have everything you want in the room from a mini bar to a full size ironing board and my favorite high speed internet.
I will give this room an 8 for the Roaming Review it would have been higher but I found trash in the bathroom and in one of the draws.
After heading down to the casino I have been told that the palms has 2 great poker rooms one for low limit poker and the other for high stakes. So I decided to put off Blackjack and Roulette for some low limit Poker. I got into a great game of Texas Holdem with some guys and it was a great game. I realized I had been playing poker for 6 hours and decided I needed a break, so I decided to get something to eat then return for more fun. So far I have to give the poker room at the Palms a 10 in the Roaming Review it was the best poker game I have played in a long time.
I decided to hit the Fantasy Market Buffet for some dinner. This is a really good buffet, but not like the other buffets I have been to this was a large selection of fine foods from around the world not the usual cold pizza, garlic bread and Chinese food most buffet places serve. This place had a great selection of great foods and I am going to give the Buffet at the palms a 9 in today's Roaming Review.
Now before going back to play in the casino I decided to do something for my Roaming review I have not done in a long time. A Roaming Review of the bathrooms. So I found the 3 bathrooms on the Casino floor and made a mess in one of them. I then played at the slot machines near the door to that bathroom and waited to see how long it would take for them to clean the mess. In less then 10 minutes someone was there cleaning it up. So I will give the cleaning crew a 10 in the roaming review I have never seen a faster cleanup job.
