Monopolies for Adults

The first version of the Monopoly was sold in 1933, and since then millions of them have been sold.

Traditionally monopoly was not a gambling game in the traditional sense, since all the money you play with is pretend money, until now.

The rules are pretty simple each player is given 1500 dollars from the bank. Each player picks a piece to represent them in the game. 2 die are rolled and the player advances his piece the number of spaces shown on the dice.

Each spot on the board represents either a street that a player can buy if they land on it, a railroad or utilities that can also be purchased. Some of the spots on the monopoly board say chance or community chest. If a player lands on one of these spots they have to take a card from one of the 2 piles of cards and do whatever the card says it may tell a player to collect money from each player as a wedding gift or you may have to pay 200 dollars in back taxes.

The object of the game is to go around the board buying up properties. When a player lands on a spot that is owned by another player they must play that player rent, and in the end the last one with money wins.

But many people have decided to gamble on this 73 year old game with real money. Now most people do not have 1500 dollars to risk at a game, but if you have 150 dollars you can risk you are in luck, most people who gamble real money on monopoly only pay 10% of what things cost. So if a property is 300 dollars you are only paying 30 dollars,

Money used from the purchase of properties can be used to pay players for passing go and any prize money they may be awarded.

Some people may think that gambling on Monopoly is stupid and that all the fun is in gambling on games like poker or blackjack, but sometimes you may just want to have a good time make some money and play a silly game.

In the past I have seen the monopoly slot machine, and I have seen scratch card games, but in my opinion nothing beats the feeling of winning real money after a good game of monopoly and if you wanted to make it real interesting you could put up a web cam and take bets on who is going to win and let people watch.
