Foxwoods Reviewed
The Foxwoods Resort and Casino in Ledyard CT. it is an Indian casino owned and operated by the Mashantucket Pequot Tribal Nation.
Today's target for my Roaming Review is the Foxwoods Resort and Casino. I hade herd good things about this place from many people and now I know why.
The first thing I have to mention in this Roaming Review unlike the Casinos in Atlantic City and Los Vegas, the Foxwoods Resort Casino is not so over the top with its grandiose, it is nicely decorated with an undertone of Indian culture.
When I got there no other guests were checking in so it was fast and simple with the exception that they could not find my reservation. It wound up my reservation was under David's Roaming Review which it is not supposed to be. So now they know I am doing a review and the butt kissing begins. So my room was upgraded to a suite and I was given comps to any of the resorts eateries.
The room they gave me was beautiful really nice dark wood everywhere with a large bedroom and 2 bathrooms. The rooms all have internet and in room movies, as rooms go I have to give this one a 7 for today's roaming review room section.
For today's Roaming Review I decided to sit in the Hard Rock Cafe and have a drink or 2 at the bar. While sipping my drinks I met some really nice people who were there just taking a little vacation. They were not big on gambling just like the area the resort is in. and I have to say the scenery at Foxwoods is second to none.
After about 2 hrs in the bar I had a good buzz and was now in the mood to play some cards. I have never been a big fan of playing poker when drunk, but I am not playing with my money so let the good times begin... ok I lasted 1 hour and I am down $175 but I had a good time, and more drinks so I figured I would play some roulette to help with the roaming review.
I managed to recoup $75 of my money back at roulette, but I was pretty drunk and needed some food.
